How are the two versions Of ‘Drishyam 3’ changing the same story in different ways?
While both films stem from the same story by Jeethu Joseph, the Malayalam and Hindi versions of ‘Drishyam 3’ are taking sharply different creative paths.
According to trade sources, the film’s occupancy saw a steady climb through the day. Morning shows registered 7.6% occupancy which grew to 16.3% in the afternoon. Evening shows drew in a 21.7% audience, and night shows witnessed the highest footfall of 36.5%.

After a quiet start on Friday, Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh’s much-awaited comedy sequel ‘De De Pyaar De 2’ picked up momentum at the box office on Saturday.
The film which opened to a modest ₹8.75 crore nett on its first day saw a noticeable jump on its second day, raking in ₹12.25 crore nett. The two-day total now stands at ₹21 crore nett in India.

Directed by Anshul Sharma, ‘De De Pyaar De 2’ continues the story of Ashish played by Devgn, as he tries to win the approval of his much younger partner’s family while keeping his own family on side. The sequel also features R Madhavan, Gautami Kapoor, Meezan, and Jaaved Jaaferi.

Meanwhile, Dulquer Salmaan’s period drama ‘Kaantha’, which also released on Friday, is yet to make a major impact. It collected ₹4.85 crore nett on Saturday, bringing its two-day total to ₹9.2 crore nett.
Other ongoing releases are holding steady. Yami Gautam and Emraan Hashmi’s courtroom drama ‘Haq’ earned ₹1.15 crore nett on Saturday, taking its nine-day total to ₹15.8 crore nett. Paresh Rawal’s ‘The Taj Story’, which has been running since October 31, has now accumulated ₹18.48 crore nett in 16 days.
